The STRAT Hotel, Casino & SkyPod to Celebrate Lunar New Year with Festive Food and Beverage Selections and Traditional Lion Dance Performance

LAS VEGAS – Dec. 22, 2022 – Celebrate the Year of the Rabbit at The STRAT Hotel, Casino & SkyPod this Lunar New Year with special food and beverage selections at CHĪ Asian Kitchen beginning Friday, Jan. 20, plus a traditional lion dance performance on Sunday, Jan. 22.
 
CHĪ Asian Kitchen, the newly-debuted restaurant at The STRAT serving an array of authentic and reimagined Chinese and other Asian dishes, will celebrate Lunar New Year with festive dishes, beginning Friday, Jan. 20 through Sunday, Feb. 5. Selections include a Cantonese lobster served with noodles, ginger, scallions and garlic sauce, priced at $59; and Shanghai pepper spicy prawns with jalapeños and fried noodles, priced at $32. To celebrate the Year of the Rabbit, which represents the moon in Chinese culture, CHĪ will also feature a special cocktail, Lunar Moon Shadow, prepared with Rémy Martin VSOP Cognac, yuzu, raspberry marmalade and orange bitters with a rabbit design printed on top, priced at $19.
 
Additionally, The STRAT will host a Lunar New Year celebration on the casino floor with a traditional lion dance, performed by the Lohan School of Shaolin at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 22. One of the most popular traditions during Lunar New Year, lion dances are believed to bring prosperity and good fortune for the upcoming year. Performers dance in extravagant lion costumes, which symbolize power, wisdom and superiority.
